“Most people grow up and stop dreaming… we never did.”
– Mark Harwell
Mark and Charles were raised by two hardworking Texan parents who had the belief that anything was possible if you put your mind to it. They believed if you have discipline, put in the hard work and believe in what you are doing no dream is out of reach. This was instilled in the Harwell Brothers from an early age and shows in the way they live their lives.
The brothers felt the draw of the California coast and made a home for themselves out here in Malibu California. With Mark’s business sense and Charles’ construction and restoration background, they started Harwell Brothers Construction.
The Malibu Beachfront homes are a beautiful and Iconic part of the California Coast, however they face serious challenges due to the corrosive forces of the ocean. Many homes have piers supporting them that are original from the 1950’s, 70 years later it’s literally hollowed out wood or crumbling cement. If the structure is in danger of collapse the house will be red tagged and the families will be displaced. The Harwell Brothers felt a calling to help these families. This is where Saving the House – Malibu begins.
The work is grueling and dangerous. Charles and the crew work below sea level and are at the mercy of the tide. They are consistently tested and put in peril; the ocean is an incredibly powerful force. The Brothers take the projects on with their anything is possible mindset and quite literally make the impossible happen. And when all is said and done, they go out and live the coastal lifestyle to the fullest. Making everyday count and bringing joy and happiness to those around them.
This dream chasing, hardworking and positive mindset is a part of the Harwell Brothers lives that they would like to share with you. The Harwell Brothers are opening up their lives and inviting you to be a part of the adventure while they continue to chase their dreams!
